The University of Phoenix College of Doctoral Studies has announced the recipients of its 2026 Dissertation of the Year Award. Four exceptional dissertations were recognized for scholarly excellence across education, health administration, and business fields.
Phoenix, AZ – The University of Phoenix College of Doctoral Studies has recognized four doctoral students with its 2026 Dissertation of the Year Award. The selected dissertations were chosen from 39 nominees following a rigorous double-blind peer-review process.
The award winners, representing Doctor of Education, Doctor of Health Administration, and Doctor of Business Administration programs, will be honored at the university's 13th annual Knowledge Without Boundaries Summit on October 22-23, 2026. This award aims to acknowledge the highest level of scholarly achievement among doctoral students and highlights the quality and real-world relevance of their research.
The Dissertation of the Year program was established to celebrate excellence in doctoral research. Students who successfully defended their dissertations within the past year were eligible for nomination. Each submission underwent a thorough review by at least two subject matter experts.
The 2026 recipients include Dr. Tamara Betz (Education), Dr. Rosann Hamilton (Health Administration), Dr. Paul David White III (Business Administration), and Dr. Sheila-Marie Mofield (Management). Their research spans topics such as teacher well-being, emotional intelligence and help-seeking behaviors, employee compensation strategies, and leadership practices in veteran healthcare.
