China's Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT) has revealed details of an updated Tesla Model Y electric vehicle through its official database of automotive manufacturers and products. The announcement signifies that the revised model has completed its regulatory submission process.

The updated Model Y, manufactured by Tesla (Shanghai) Co., Ltd., measures 4,796 mm in length, 1,920 mm in width, and 1,611 mm in height, with a wheelbase of 2,890 mm. The vehicle has an curb weight of 2,027 kg and a gross weight of 2,529 kg. It is designed for five occupants and has a top speed of 250 km/h.

In terms of powertrain, the vehicle is equipped with front and rear electric motors producing 176 kW and 291 kW, respectively. It utilizes a ternary lithium-ion battery, with individual battery cells supplied by Ủy i-Energy (Nanjing) Co., Ltd., and the complete battery pack assembled by Tesla (Shanghai) Co., Ltd.

The vehicle features an anti-lock braking system (ABS) and an event data recorder (EDR). Optional ETC (Electronic Toll Collection) equipment can also be installed. Pricing and availability details for the updated Model Y have not yet been announced, but this regulatory clearance is a prerequisite for its market introduction.
