Indian edtech firm upGrad announced its gross revenue increased by 7% to ₹2,070 crore in the financial year ended March 2026 (FY26). This marks a rise from ₹1,943 crore in the previous fiscal year. Concurrently, the company successfully reduced its net loss by 52%, bringing it down to ₹130 crore from ₹274 crore in FY25.
This is the third consecutive fiscal year in which upGrad has more than halved its net loss. The company attributes the improved financial performance to cost rationalization and AI-driven efficiencies, which reduced marketing and technology expenses despite revenue growth.
upGrad stated that AI has been integrated into over 80% of its programs across disciplines such as technology, data science, management, finance, and law. The company serves over 100,000 concurrent learners through its online and offline businesses. Its B2B arm, upGrad Enterprise, partnered with more than 700 companies in FY26 for employee skilling and development.
Founder Ronnie Screwvala indicated that future growth strategies will focus on both organic and inorganic expansion in India and international markets. upGrad has also been active in acquisitions, including a majority stake in competitor Unacademy in early 2026.
