Uragold Bay Resources Inc. (TSX Venture: UBR) has begun fieldwork on its Roncevaux quartz property in the Matapedia Valley region of Quebec. This effort is intended to confirm historical estimates regarding the deposit's size and quality, a critical step in securing a potential supply agreement with a major silicon producer.

The company announced earlier this year that the Roncevaux deposit could potentially yield significant quantities of high-grade quartz. The current fieldwork involves geological surveys and technical measurements to refine these estimates.

Uragold is also advancing plans for quartz extraction and processing, aiming to produce material that meets the stringent specifications required by silicon manufacturers.

The company also announced its intention to proceed with a private placement of 6,619,000 units at $0.05 per unit, seeking to raise gross proceeds of $330,950. These funds are earmarked to support ongoing operations and readiness for future supply commitments.
