Uresta, a Canadian female-led pelvic health brand, has released Uresta 2.0, an updated version of its FDA-cleared, over-the-counter vaginal support device for stress urinary incontinence (SUI). The product aims to provide an alternative to disposable pads and liners for women experiencing leaks during physical activity.
The new Uresta 2.0 features a redesigned handle with a finger hole for a more secure grip during removal. Additionally, an optional single-use Removal String can be attached to the handle, offering users more confidence when taking the device out. These changes were implemented based on user feedback, addressing concerns some women had about the removal process.
Stress urinary incontinence, characterized by urine leakage during exertion like coughing, laughing, or exercise, affects many women's daily lives. Uresta functions as a non-surgical pessary that supports the urethra to prevent leaks. It is designed for home self-fitting and is washable and reusable.
The company stated that while the core leak-stopping technology remains the same, the enhancements are intended to make the device easier and more comfortable to use. Uresta 2.0 is now available for purchase on the company's website, with starter kits including various sizes and complimentary removal strings.
