U.S. News Releases 2026-2027 Best Hospitals Rankings with New Regional Specialty Categories

U.S. News & World Report has released its 2026–2027 rankings of the nation's best hospitals. This year's edition introduces new regional specialty rankings designed to assist patients in locating complex medical care within their local areas.

The updated list recognizes 505 hospitals across 49 states and Washington D.C. for superior clinical outcomes. Five new regional specialty rankings have been added in the areas of Cancer; Cardiology, Heart & Vascular; Orthopedics; and Urology.

These new regional designations are intended to provide patients with more specific information regarding the availability and quality of specialized medical services in their vicinity.
