US Postal Service issues Barbie career stamps
The U.S. Postal Service has released a series of 10 collectible stamps honoring the diverse careers of the Barbie doll. The stamps were introduced at the National Barbie Doll Collectors Convention in Austin.

The U.S. Postal Service has honored Mattel Inc.'s iconic Barbie doll with a new series of 10 collectible stamps, highlighting her diverse professional journey. The stamps, which feature Barbie in various careers across decades, were unveiled at the National Barbie Doll Collectors Convention in Austin, Texas.
According to Lisa Bobb-Semple, director of stamp services for the Postal Service, the original Barbie stamp was highly popular, prompting the release of these new stamps to showcase the doll's evolving professional roles. Since its 1959 debut as "The Original Teenage Fashion Model," Barbie has become a symbol of limitless possibilities, representing over 250 careers and reflecting modern views of womanhood.
The new stamps commemorate Barbie's more than 65-year legacy of enabling boundless potential, creativity, and empowerment. The featured professions include nurse (1961), surgeon (1973), astronaut (1986), firefighter (1995), paleontologist (1996), sign language teacher (2000), robotics engineer (2018), judge (2019), soccer player (2022), and musical artist (2025).
Designed by Ethel Kessler in collaboration with Mattel, the stamps are issued as Forever stamps, ensuring their value always equals the current First-Class Mail 1-ounce price. The release is being shared on social media using the hashtag #BarbieStamps.
