Used-Vehicle Asking Prices Fell an Average 2.5% Over Four Weeks
A new OAV market snapshot shows 58% of continuously listed used vehicles saw asking-price cuts exceeding 0.5%. SUVs and EVs averaged 2.7% reductions.

Average asking prices for used vehicles in the U.S. decreased by 2.5% over the past four weeks, according to a new weekly market snapshot from OAV.io. The analysis covered 1.43 million dealer listings nationwide.
The data indicates that 58% of used vehicles that remained listed during the period experienced asking-price reductions of more than 0.5%. Specifically, SUVs and electric vehicles (EVs) saw their average asking prices drop by 2.7% during the review timeframe. This trend may reflect market normalization or shifts in consumer demand.
OAV.io, which identifies itself as "The Automotive Answer Engine," released its initial national weekly report. The company's analysis systematically reviews dealer listings to identify pricing trends and market dynamics.
The decline in prices could present more favorable buying opportunities for consumers. This downward price movement might also influence dealership inventory management and future pricing strategies.
