The user described the incident starting with severe screen artifacts, followed by the display freezing and flickering continuously, ultimately leading to the graphics card becoming non-functional. Prior to using the DLSS 5 mod, the RTX 5080 had been operating normally for approximately one month. Following the issue, the user replaced the card with a functioning RTX 5080 and stated they would wait for more games to officially support DLSS 5.
