USGA Appoints Gupta Media as Paid Media Agency of Record
The United States Golf Association (USGA) has named Gupta Media its agency of record for paid media. The partnership will focus on strategy, planning, buying, and reporting.
The United States Golf Association (USGA) has selected Gupta Media as its paid media agency of record following a competitive review process. Based in Boston, Gupta Media will lead strategy, planning, buying, and reporting for the USGA's paid media efforts. The agency's mandate includes supporting championship ticketing and broader commercial initiatives.
The collaboration aims to strengthen the USGA's brand equity and increase awareness and engagement among golfers nationwide. Gupta Media's work will encompass key USGA priorities, such as the official Handicap Index® and GHIN app, the Rules of Golf, membership programs, and initiatives focused on sustainability, research, innovation, accessibility, and inclusion in golf.
This partnership comes as the USGA seeks to expand its reach and deepen its connection with a diverse and growing golf community. Gupta Media will play a role in driving ticket sales for major events, including the 2027 U.S. Open at Pebble Beach and the 2027 U.S. Women's Open at Inverness Club. The agency will also assist the USGA in raising awareness for its corporate partners through co-branded content and paid media.
"We were looking for an agency that could bring a deep understanding of our audiences, a genuine enthusiasm for our mission and the strategic expertise to work with us through this next phase of golf's growth," said Lynn LaRocca, USGA's Managing Director of Brand & Marketing. Gupta Media was noted for its ability to connect data, audience strategy, media, and creative efforts to tangible business outcomes.
