UWorld and Goldwater Foundation Extend Partnership for Medical and Scientific Researchers
UWorld and the Goldwater Foundation are entering the fourth year of their partnership to support aspiring physician-scientists. The collaboration provides scholarships and educational resources to promising undergraduate researchers.
UWorld, an online learning platform, has extended its four-year partnership with the Barry Goldwater Scholarship and Excellence in Education Foundation to support future leaders in medicine and scientific discovery. The collaboration focuses on backing promising undergraduate students who aim to become physician-scientists and drive advancements.
The partnership, initiated in 2023, has supported over 250 Goldwater Scholars with nearly $250,000 in financial and product scholarships. For the 2027-28 academic year, UWorld is committing to provide financial scholarships and access to educational resources for scholars pursuing MD/PhD or DO/PhD pathways.
Through its philanthropic arm, UWorld Cares, the company will award six scholarships totaling $45,000 to scholars in MD/PhD or DO/PhD programs. Additionally, six recipients will receive UWorld's 90-day MCAT® Comprehensive Prep Course and access to either the USMLE® Step 1 QBank or COMLEX® Level 1 QBank. All Goldwater Scholars on an MD/PhD or DO/PhD track will also gain access to UWorld's 90-day MCAT® QBank.
The Goldwater Foundation identifies and supports undergraduate students demonstrating academic achievement, research experience, and a commitment to research careers in science, mathematics, and engineering.
