Vallar Presents Asphalt Alternative in Kenya

American chemical company Vallar Advanced Systems, Inc. has concluded a visit to Nairobi, introducing its clean chemical technology for road construction. The company engaged with senior leaders from the Kenyan government, civil society, and the U.S. Embassy to present an alternative to asphalt, aimed at addressing the widespread challenge of unpaved secondary and rural roads across the continent.

Vallar showcased its technology, which stabilizes native soil to create a durable, all-weather road surface without the cost, heavy equipment, or environmental impact associated with traditional asphalt. The company states its products are non-toxic and water-based, offering a cleaner solution for extending road networks where needed most.

During meetings, CEO Jeremy Flynn highlighted the significance of Kenya's secondary roads for its economic future, from agriculture to trade and access to services. He noted Vallar's solution is affordable, environmentally responsible, and built to last. Flynn added that unpaved roads present a continental challenge, and Kenya could lead in finding a solution.

Vallar Advanced Systems develops and manufactures its products entirely in the United States. The company views its engagement in Kenya as an extension of the commercial partnership between the two nations. Vallar plans to continue discussions with Kenyan government stakeholders and partners in the coming months.
