Ferry operator TT-Line has contracted Valmet to install marine automation systems on two upcoming vessels in its Green Ship 2.0 fleet. The ships are currently being built at the China Merchants Jinling Shipyard in China.

Valmet’s technology is designed to manage vessel operations with the goal of improving fuel efficiency and operational reliability. By integrating these systems, TT-Line aims to lower energy consumption across its Baltic Sea ferry routes, supporting the company's broader decarbonization objectives.

This contract marks a continuation of the working relationship between the two companies, building on previous installations of Valmet technology on existing vessels. The move reflects a broader industry trend toward digitizing onboard systems to meet tightening emissions regulations in the maritime sector.
