Valmet to Rebuild Press Section at Jeonju Paper

Valmet Oyj has received an order to rebuild the press section and predryer section of Jeonju Paper Corporation's paper machine PM 5, located in South Korea.
The rebuild is intended to enhance overall machine energy efficiency and improve operational performance. Jeonju Paper Corporation anticipates achieving significant energy savings and increased production efficiency through the implemented Valmet technology.
The scope of Valmet's delivery includes a new, high-performance press section designed to reduce energy consumption and increase the dryness of the paper web before the drying section. Updates to the predryer section will also contribute to energy conservation.
This project is scheduled for completion in the second quarter of 2027. Jeonju Paper Corporation is a prominent paper manufacturer in South Korea, and this investment represents a step in its ongoing efforts to modernize its production facilities and bolster its market competitiveness.
