Valtori and Digia continue integration cooperation with €4.5 million agreement

The Government ICT Centre Valtori has entered into a new five-year agreement with Digia Plc for the development and maintenance of the VIA integration platform used by central government organizations. The contract is valued at EUR 4.5 million.

Valtori's shared integration service, VIA, provides a centralized messaging and file transfer capability that allows government information systems to integrate with each other. Valtori sought a partner through a competitive bidding process, looking for experience, efficiency, and security in integration service implementation.

"VIA is a key service for central government e-services," stated Teemu Väänänen, Product Manager for Valtori's integration services. He emphasized that Digia's deep expertise meets Valtori's requirements and supports the service's ongoing development.

Digia has been a long-term partner to Valtori. "It is great that our cooperation will continue," Väänänen added. The agreement ensures the efficient continued development of the service. Digia is an established provider of integration solutions for the public sector and has previously delivered socially significant digital services.
