Valve Updates Steam Client With Steam Machine Certification Features
Valve Corporation has released a new update for its Steam client, introducing features specifically related to Steam Machine hardware certification and compatibility. The update also includes general performance and bug fixes.

Valve Corporation has pushed a significant update to the stable version of its Steam client, bringing a range of enhancements and fixes across various modules. Key among these are new features related to Steam Machine hardware, alongside general improvements to the desktop mode, Steam Workshop, Remote Play, Steam Input, and controller firmware.
The most notable addition concerns Steam Machine consoles. The Steam client will now display certification information for Steam Machine hardware directly on game cards and game detail pages. Furthermore, a new dedicated section titled "Great on devices" has been added to the game library, helping users identify titles optimized for Steam Machine.
Beyond the Steam Machine enhancements, the update addresses numerous general issues. These include optimizations for language settings, fixes for notification display, issues with game recording crashes, and corrections to mouse cursor behavior. The Remote Play feature sees improvements with a new 59.94 FPS streaming option and better frame rate management to reduce stuttering. Steam Input also receives updates, including adjusted gyroscope calibration thresholds for the Steam Controller and expanded compatibility for third-party controllers, such as those from PDP and Turtle Beach for Nintendo Switch.
Stability and efficiency have also been improved for Steam Workshop content updates. The update is now available to all Steam users and will be applied automatically upon restarting the Steam client.
