Vantage expands pre-IPO CFD trading for private tech firms

Vantage is offering CFD contracts linked to pre-IPO companies, allowing traders to speculate on price movements of firms like Anthropic and OpenAI before they go public.

2 November 2026

Multi-asset broker Vantage has introduced pre-IPO Contracts for Difference (CFDs) that allow clients to trade on the valuation of companies prior to their public market debuts. Instruments linked to high-profile firms, such as Anthropic and OpenAI, use private-market valuation data and internal methodologies to derive reference pricing.

The offerings target market participants seeking exposure to growth-stage technology firms that remain inaccessible through conventional stock brokerage accounts. By using CFDs, traders take leveraged positions on the price trajectory of these firms without acquiring ownership, voting rights, or allocations in future Initial Public Offerings.

Vantage notes that these derivatives are distinct from direct equity investments. If an IPO does not materialize, the instruments remain subject to brokerage terms, margin requirements, and overnight financing charges. The company cautions that due to leverage, limited historical data, and the nature of private valuation inputs, these products carry significant risks of rapid capital loss.
