Vår Energi ASA Completes Acquisition of Pandion Energy Portfolio
Vår Energi ASA has finalized the acquisition of selected assets and licenses from Pandion Energy AS. The transaction strengthens the company's position in the Gjøa and Åsgård areas.
Sandnes, 30 September 2026 – Vår Energi ASA has officially completed its acquisition of selected assets and licenses from Pandion Energy AS, following regulatory approval. The transaction was initially announced on 18 June 2026.
The acquisition significantly enhances Vår Energi's position within the Gjøa and Åsgård areas on the Norwegian Continental Shelf. The acquired assets include a 10% interest in the producing Nova field (PL418), a 20% interest in the Ofelia development (PL929), and a 49% interest in the Sierra Solberg discovery (PL263). Additionally, Vår Energi gains a portfolio of exploration licenses in the Gjøa area.
This acquisition aligns with Vår Energi's strategy to grow and strengthen its production portfolio. The company has pursued several other transactions throughout the year to support its expansion strategy and optimize its operations.
Financial details of the transaction have not been disclosed, but it is expected to increase Vår Energi's reserves of proved and probable oil and gas resources. The company continues its focus on operations on the Norwegian mainland shelf.
