Veidekke secures NOK 745 million construction contract in Oslo
Veidekke has finalized a design and build agreement with Thon Gruppen for a mixed-use project at Vitaminveien 6 in Oslo’s Storo district.
Veidekke has been awarded a contract by Thon Gruppen to develop a mixed-use complex at Vitaminveien 6 in the Storo district of Oslo. The project, valued at approximately NOK 745 million excluding VAT, encompasses residential, office, and commercial space.
Group CEOs Jimmy Bengtsson of Veidekke and Kjetil Nilsen of Thon Gruppen formalized the agreement on October 23. The project represents a significant development for the Storo area, which has seen increased urban densification in recent years.
Construction activities are slated to transform the site into a multi-functional hub. The contract follows a trend of large-scale urban development projects in Oslo, as property owners continue to integrate living and working environments into single facilities.
