Veidekke subsidiary BRA Bygg awarded major Swedish construction project

Veidekke's Swedish subsidiary BRA Bygg AB has been awarded a significant design and build contract for an 80,000-square-meter facility in Jönköping, Sweden. Saab will be the long-term tenant of the facility, which is scheduled for completion and occupancy between 2029 and 2030.

The project will be executed in close collaboration with property developer Vectura, Saab AB, and Jönköping Municipality. Following completion, Fastighets AB Balder will acquire a minority stake in the project. Specific details regarding the contract's value or the intended use of Saab's new premises have not yet been disclosed.

BRA Bygg has a history of collaboration with Vectura on various projects. Saab is a major player in the defense and aerospace industry, and this new facility is expected to strengthen its operational presence. The construction is anticipated to generate employment for a considerable number of individuals during its development phase.
