Velocity Maintenance Solutions Expands Hangar Facilities at Wilmington Airport
Velocity Maintenance Solutions, an FAA-certified aircraft MRO provider, is significantly expanding its hangar space at Wilmington Airport (ILG) in Delaware. The move doubles the company's hangar footprint and is expected to lead to job growth.

Velocity Maintenance Solutions (Velocity), an FAA-certified provider of maintenance, repair, and overhaul (MRO) services, has announced a major expansion of its hangar facilities at Wilmington Airport (ILG) in Delaware. The company is relocating from its current 20,000-square-foot hangar to a neighboring 75,000-square-foot facility, which includes 40,000 square feet of hangar space.
The expansion effectively doubles Velocity's hangar footprint, providing substantially increased capacity to support scheduled maintenance, inspections, and other MRO work. The transition to the new facility is anticipated to be completed by the end of October. As the company grows its capabilities and customer base, Velocity also expects to increase its workforce in the Wilmington area over the next 12 to 18 months, hiring certified technicians and other aviation professionals.
Velocity offers a range of services including aircraft on ground (AOG) support, scheduled maintenance, avionics, pre-buy inspections, and non-destructive testing. The company also operates a fleet of 14 mobile repair team (MRT) trucks providing nationwide coverage, with an emphasis on the East Coast. These mobile units are stationed at ILG and other key airports across the United States.
"The expansion of our facilities at ILG represents an important next step in Velocity's continued growth," stated Bryan Weiss, CEO of Velocity Maintenance Solutions. "Moving from our current 20,000-square-foot hangar into a 75,000-square-foot facility gives our team substantially more capacity and flexibility to support our customers, expand our scheduled maintenance capabilities, and accommodate larger and more complex projects."
