Venttup Secures $3 Million for Manufacturing Expansion

Venttup, an engineering-focused manufacturing firm, secured $3 million in a funding round led by Rainmatter by Zerodha and Unicorn India Ventures. The company plans to utilize the capital to bolster its engineering team, enhance infrastructure for rapid prototyping, and integrate artificial intelligence to optimize supply chain and sourcing operations.

Founded in 2021 by Sandeep Nair, M. Wasim Ankli, and Joseph Panakkal, Venttup acts as an intermediary between original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) and smaller manufacturing enterprises. The company manages the transition from prototype to commercial production, overseeing quality control and technical validation for sectors including aerospace, defense, energy, and robotics.

According to CEO Sandeep Nair, the startup aims to standardize design and production processes by leveraging the existing capabilities of India’s micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs). The firm has reported a significant revenue increase, reaching ₹10 Cr in FY26, alongside an expanding client list of 15 blue-chip customers.

Venttup operates in a competitive landscape alongside established firms like Zetwerk and CapGrid. As the company seeks to expand its footprint, its long-term success will depend on its ability to transition from a prototyping partner to a provider of consistent, large-scale production services.
