Veridian Credit Union Ranked No. 1 in U.S. for Member Value
Veridian Credit Union has been ranked first in the U.S. among credit unions for delivering member value, according to Callahan & Associates' Return of the Member Index. The ranking assesses how effectively credit unions serve their members.

Veridian Credit Union has secured the top position nationally among U.S. credit unions for its member value, as determined by Callahan & Associates' Return of the Member Index. This metric evaluates how effectively credit unions provide value to their members using data from regulatory filings.
The latest ranking, covering the second quarter of 2026, highlights Veridian's commitment to enhancing its members' financial futures. Veridian President and CEO Renee Christoffer stated that as a member-owned cooperative, delivering value is core to their mission. This recognition validates their efforts to provide lasting value.
The Return of the Member Index assesses performance across three key areas: value for savers, value for borrowers, and member service usage. It assigns a numerical score to each credit union for comparison purposes and performance tracking.
Veridian has consistently placed in the top 1% of U.S. credit unions on this index and has been in the top 10 since late 2022. The credit union is noted as the only one based in Iowa, Nebraska, or Minnesota to achieve the number one spot in the past five years.
