Vertigenius targets remote oversight for vertigo and balance treatment
Vertigenius is developing a digital health and medical device solution to allow clinicians to oversee patients undergoing vertigo and balance disorder treatment at home. The company aims to address the current lack of remote patient monitoring in vestibular therapy.

Vertigenius, a company operating in the market for vertigo and imbalance treatment, has developed a solution enabling remote oversight of patients during their home-based therapy sessions. CEO Mark Barry outlined the company's strategy in an interview with CB Insights.
The global market for vestibular therapy, addressing an estimated 390 million people annually, represents a total addressable market (TAM) of approximately €80 billion. Vertigenius is targeting a serviceable addressable market (SAM) of about €5 billion, initially focusing on medium to large vestibular clinics in the United States, with a beachhead SAM of €1 billion.
The primary challenge Vertigenius seeks to solve is the current inability of clinicians to remotely oversee patients performing vestibular therapy exercises at home. This limitation often hinders consistent treatment progress and patient engagement.
Vertigenius's approach integrates digital healthcare technology with a medical device to facilitate clinician supervision of patients' home treatments. The company also aims to ensure full insurance reimbursement for these remote services, potentially creating a new revenue stream for clinics and improving patient access to care.
