Vertiv Infrastructure Deployed for Naval Postgraduate School AI System
Vertiv has supplied and installed critical infrastructure, including power and liquid cooling, for the Naval Postgraduate School's new NVIDIA DGX GB300 AI system.

Vertiv, a global provider of digital infrastructure, has supplied and installed critical infrastructure for the Naval Postgraduate School's (NPS) new NVIDIA DGX GB300 AI system. The project has established a locally operated AI environment for education, research, and digital engineering, featuring integrated power, liquid cooling, and specialized rack solutions.
NPS received the NVIDIA DGX GB300 system, while Vertiv provided and deployed the necessary physical infrastructure, including power, cooling, and racks. This solution enables the transformation of existing facilities for high-density AI hardware without requiring a completely new data center.
Vertiv CEO Gio Albertazzi highlighted that advanced AI systems are redefining the physical requirements of data centers. The NPS deployment demonstrates how compute power can be turned into operational AI capability. The collaboration with NVIDIA and NPS facilitated rapid deployment and reduced risks.
The Vertiv SmartIT integrated, rack-level AI infrastructure solution is designed to accelerate AI deployments. The NPS project included a three-rack configuration with power protection and distribution, cooling solutions, fluid management, and monitoring, along with installation and commissioning services. This solution supports the deployment of high-density AI applications in both existing and new facilities.
