Vetsource opens fourth pet pharmacy to improve delivery times

Pet pharmacy service Vetsource has opened its fourth location in Atlanta, Georgia. The new facility is intended to enhance the company's infrastructure and expedite delivery of pet medications to owners.

The Atlanta pharmacy is the latest addition to Vetsource's nationwide network, joining existing pharmacies in Portland, Oregon; Harrisburg, Pennsylvania; and Northlake, Texas. Company statements indicate the new location strengthens infrastructure to support future growth and aims to improve the pet owner experience without compromising speed or accuracy.

"This is our fastest ramp-up of any pharmacy location to date," said Yili Malech, vice president of pharmacy operations. "Expanding our footprint quickly allows us to get significantly closer to our customers." The company noted a specific focus on improving shipping times for customers in the Southeast United States, one of its largest markets.

The Atlanta pharmacy is led by pharmacist in charge Dr. Chris Jones and operations manager Kovaski Jones, each with over 20 years of experience. Vetsource anticipates the new facility will ship 1,500 items daily in its first month, scaling to 12,000 orders per day by the end of its first year. Founded in 2006, Vetsource employs nearly 700 associates.
