Via Transportation Faces Class Action Lawsuit Over IPO Disclosures
Investors who purchased Via Transportation Inc. (NASDAQ: VIA) shares during its September 15, 2025, initial public offering may be eligible to serve as lead plaintiff in a class action lawsuit. The deadline to apply is August 10, 2026.

Via Transportation, Inc. (NASDAQ: VIA) is facing a class action lawsuit alleging violations of the Securities Act of 1933. The suit, filed by Robbins Geller Rudman & Dowd LLP, concerns investors who purchased or acquired Via Transportation common stock pursuant to the company's initial public offering (IPO) documents issued on September 15, 2025.
The lawsuit claims that the IPO offering documents were materially false and misleading, concealing key information. Specifically, it alleges that the company was acquiring customers at a pace faster than their revenue generation, leading to a decline in platform annual run-rate revenue per customer. Furthermore, it claims that existing regulatory issues in Germany were hindering Via Transportation's expansion strategy.
Via Transportation's stock price experienced significant declines following disclosures about its financial performance. On November 13, 2025, the stock price dropped nearly 13% after the company reported a decline in platform annual run-rate revenue per customer for the first time in eight quarters. Another drop of approximately 8% occurred on February 27, 2026, when Via Transportation announced "headwinds" in Germany that impacted its ability to sell its platform there.
Further pressure on the stock came on May 12, 2026, with the release of first-quarter 2026 financial results. The company reported that regulatory issues continued to limit its growth in Germany, causing the stock to fall an additional 17%. At that point, the stock was trading at nearly 70% below its IPO price.
Investors who suffered substantial losses and wish to be considered for the lead plaintiff role must submit their information by August 10, 2026. The lead plaintiff will direct the litigation on behalf of all class members. Via Transportation provides software and tech-enabled services for managing public transportation for various entities, including cities and transit agencies.
