Viatris to Acquire Pacira BioSciences, Expanding Non-Opioid Pain Therapies
Viatris has agreed to acquire Pacira BioSciences, adding two marketed, patent-protected, high-margin medicines, EXPAREL® and ZILRETTA®, to its portfolio. The deal aims to strengthen Viatris' position in non-opioid pain management.

Pharmaceutical company Viatris has reached an agreement to acquire Pacira BioSciences. Financial terms of the transaction were not disclosed.
The acquisition will bring Viatris two U.S.-marketed, patent-protected, and high-margin non-opioid pain medications: EXPAREL® and ZILRETTA®.
