Viking Line Plc has entered into a joint operation agreement (JOA) with the German ferry company TT-Line concerning the operation of the Vuosaari (Helsinki) – Muuga (Tallinn) freight route.

The arrangement is intended to strengthen Viking Line's position in freight transportation between Finland and Estonia. As part of the agreement, the route will be operated within the framework of a joint operation without establishing a separate company.

The partnership is expected to commence shortly and aims to optimize resource utilization and enhance service efficiency between the passenger ferry operator and the freight specialist. This collaboration is also expected to improve competitiveness in the Baltic Sea shipping market.

Viking Line anticipates benefits from the agreement including increased freight capacity and an improved market standing. The company continues its ferry operations on other Baltic Sea routes.
