Vince Gilligan to Receive LMGI's Eva Monley Award

Hollywood, Calif. – The Location Managers Guild International (LMGI) will present the Eva Monley Award to Emmy-winning writer, producer, director, and creator Vince Gilligan. The honor recognizes his career-long appreciation for location professionals whose artistry helps bring stories to life.
The award will be presented during the 13th Annual LMGI Awards gala on August 22, 2026. Gilligan's work, particularly on "Breaking Bad," "Better Call Saul," and "Pluribus," has been noted for its effective use of real-world locations to deepen character and atmosphere.
The Eva Monley Award honors individuals whose work has made an extraordinary contribution to filmmaking through the artful use of real locations. Gilligan's projects have transformed ordinary places into iconic destinations, with settings shaping narratives and becoming integral to the storytelling.
Gilligan is best known for creating "Breaking Bad" and its prequel "Better Call Saul," both filmed extensively in Albuquerque, New Mexico. His recent series "Pluribus" garnered 18 Emmy nominations, including for Best Drama Series. He also previously worked on "The X-Files."
