VinFast Expands in Europe as EV Market Surpasses Expectations
Electric vehicles accounted for 30.5% of new car sales across 16 key European markets in August. VinFast is responding to this growth by expanding its product offerings and local service network.

The European electric vehicle market has exceeded expectations, with fully electric cars representing 30.5% of new car sales across 16 key European markets in August. This surge indicates that electric mobility is shifting from a niche segment to the mainstream.
This growth is driven by major markets such as France and Germany, and the public transport sector is also rapidly electrifying. VinFast has based its European strategy on three pillars: products tailored to European priorities, entry into the public transport market, and a presence with local commercial and service points.
The company is introducing vehicles like the VF 6, a compact electric SUV designed for urban driving and daily commutes, focusing on efficiency and accessibility. VinFast is also expanding into electric buses, with models like the EB 12 having obtained full European type-approval, positioning them to meet upcoming EU regulations for zero-emission public transport.
To ensure a strong customer experience, VinFast is establishing local partnerships across the region. These collaborations provide access to maintenance, support, and warranty services that meet European standards. VinFast's long-term objective is to build trust in each market by offering competitive electric vehicles and buses, complemented by reliable local service.
