VinFast Focuses on European Electric Vehicle Market Amid Growth
The share of fully electric vehicles in Europe's new car sales reached 30.5% in August. VinFast is strengthening its presence in the European market through product development and a localized service network.

Europe's market for fully electric vehicles has grown faster than anticipated, with electric cars accounting for 30.5% of new vehicle registrations across 16 key European markets in August. This surge signifies that nearly one in three new cars sold is now fully electric.
As the market matures, buyer expectations are shifting. Beyond competitive products, consumers now prioritize reliability and long-term market presence. Chris Heron, secretary general of E-Mobility Europe, highlighted that "the priority now is certainty matched by delivery." This indicates a need for established trust and consistent service.
VinFast's strategy in Europe is built on three pillars: products designed for European priorities, entry into the public transport sector, and a localized commercial and service footprint. The company is introducing the VF 6, a compact electric SUV designed for urban driving and daily commuting. Additionally, VinFast is expanding into the public transport sector with its EB 8 and EB 12 electric buses, which have achieved European certification.
Beyond vehicle offerings, VinFast is establishing a local commercial presence through partnerships with dealerships and service providers. This approach aims to ensure customers have access to maintenance, support, and warranty services. VinFast's objective is to become a trusted brand within Europe's expanding electric vehicle landscape.
