VinFast Focuses on Long-Term Presence in European EV Market

The European market for fully electric vehicles has grown faster than anticipated, with electric cars making up 30.5% of new car sales across 16 key markets in August. This represents a 54.2% increase year-over-year, signaling that electric mobility is becoming the norm.

Growth is led by major European markets like France and Germany, where EV share exceeds 30%. Public transport is also electrifying rapidly, with EU regulations mandating emission-free city buses by 2030.

VinFast has structured its European strategy around three pillars: products designed for European needs, entry into the public transport sector, and the establishment of a localized commercial and service base. The company emphasizes that customer priorities now center on certainty and delivery reliability.

VinFast is introducing the VF 6 compact electric SUV for urban driving and daily commuting. Additionally, the company offers EB 8 and EB 12 electric buses, with the EB 12 achieving full European certification. VinFast aims to build trust through local dealerships and service partners, ensuring customers access to maintenance and support aligned with European standards.

VinFast states its European engagement is a long-term commitment. The company believes its combination of competitive EVs, certified electric buses, and an expanding local service network meets European customer demands both at the point of sale and post-purchase.
