VinFast offers dealers up to $60,000 to open EV showrooms

VinFast, an electric vehicle manufacturer headquartered in Vietnam, announced on October 13 that it will provide incentives of up to $60,000 to its dealer partners for opening new electric motorcycle showrooms in Indonesia and the Philippines. The offer is valid for showrooms established by December 31, 2026.

The incentive package includes up to $40,000 per showroom, with the amount determined by factors such as size, floor area, and dealership standards. Additional bonuses are available: up to $5,000 for showrooms opened by October 31, and an extra $15,000 per showroom for partners who establish at least three new locations.

As of September, VinFast operated 63 electric motorcycle dealerships across both markets and aims to significantly expand its network to hundreds of stores in each country by the end of 2026. The company launched its first Indonesian dealer store in April 2024 and has since announced plans for over 60 additional outlets.

The Indonesian electric two-wheeler market is projected to grow, despite recent adjustments to government subsidies. VinFast has continued to report net losses as it pursues international expansion, highlighting the financial commitment required for its global growth strategy.
