VinFast to Open Over 50 E-Motorcycle Showrooms in India
Vietnamese EV maker VinFast signs letters of intent with over 50 dealers to establish e-motorcycle showrooms across 34 cities in India.

Vietnamese electric vehicle manufacturer VinFast has signed letters of intent with over 50 dealers across India, signaling its entry into the country's electric two-wheeler market. These agreements are set to facilitate the establishment of more than 50 e-motorcycle showrooms in 34 cities spread across 15 states and union territories.
The move aims to expand VinFast's distribution network and solidify its presence in the rapidly growing Indian electric two-wheeler segment. The agreements were finalized at VinFast's manufacturing facility in Hai Phong, Vietnam. Key locations targeted include Delhi NCR, Rajasthan, Maharashtra, and Tamil Nadu, regions identified for their substantial two-wheeler markets offering significant potential for electrification.
VinFast plans to support its retail expansion by investing in charging infrastructure and enhancing after-sales services in these new markets. The Indian electric two-wheeler sector is experiencing growth fueled by government incentives, new domestic product launches, rising fuel costs, and increasing consumer adoption.
The company differentiates itself by focusing on the e-motorcycle segment, rather than e-scooters which dominate the current market. This strategic focus places VinFast in competition with domestic e-motorcycle manufacturers such as Oben Electric, MATTER, and Ultraviolette. VinFast has previously announced plans to invest $2 billion in India to scale its production capacity.
