Visitor Reports on Christmas Celebrations in Kenya

Volunteer Monika spent December 5-25, 2025, in Kenya, visiting the Nice View projects and staying at the Paradise Garden resort.

During her visit, Monika participated in Christmas baking with the children, including making Speculoos and gingerbread, activities not previously undertaken in the area. She also organized workshops for crafting Christmas decorations and braiding hair. A visit from Santa Claus brought reflections and small gifts, particularly for the younger children.

Weekend "African evenings" featured traditional food, decorations, and performances, with visitors warmly welcomed. A Christmas Eve celebration on December 24 included songs, a nativity play, and a festive meal. Older children prepared the dinner, and each child received a Christmas gift.

Monika described her stay at Paradise Garden as relaxing, despite the significant December heat compared to home. She thanked the Nice View team for their attentive hospitality and the memorable experiences.
