Vivo launches X500 smartphone with Dimensity 9600M and 8K Live
Vivo has unveiled its new X500 smartphone, featuring the latest MediaTek Dimensity 9600M processor and an 8K Live video capability. The device starts at 5499 yuan.
Chinese technology company Vivo has announced the launch of its X500 smartphone. The device is powered by MediaTek's new Dimensity 9600M chipset and includes an 8K Live video feature, enabling real-time recording and sharing. Pricing begins at 5499 yuan for the 12GB RAM and 256GB storage configuration, approximately $750 USD.
The X500 places a significant emphasis on its camera system. It features a 1/1.28-inch Sony LYTIA-828 main sensor with Vivo's "Blueprint" imaging technology and gimbal-level stabilization. The telephoto lens utilizes a Sony LYTIA-610 sensor, and the phone supports 4K video recording at 120 frames per second. Vivo has partnered with platforms like Weibo to facilitate the sharing of 8K Live content.
The smartphone sports a 6.59-inch 1.5K LTPO display with a 144Hz refresh rate. It is equipped with a substantial 7500mAh battery, supporting 90W wired and 40W wireless charging. The device also offers IP68 dust and water resistance and an ultrasonic 3D fingerprint sensor.
On the software front, the Vivo X500 runs OriginOS 7, which introduces a new "liquid" theme and claims sustained fluency for up to 72 months. A special "Sunny" edition package is also available, featuring theme-specific visual and audio elements.
