Chinese technology firm vivo has officially announced the commencement of its OriginOS 7 internal testing recruitment program. The initiative seeks to enroll "internal experience officers" to test the upcoming operating system on 14 distinct vivo and iQOO device models.

The recruitment drive will select 3,000 participants for each supported model. Applications are open from September 7, 2026, 10:00 AM to September 13, 2026, 11:59 PM. Selected testers are scheduled to receive the update between 3:00 PM and 6:00 PM on September 16, 2026. vivo has cautioned that internal test versions are still in development and may exhibit issues such as bugs, abnormal battery drain, or third-party compatibility problems.

To be eligible for the internal testing program, devices must be updated to a specific minimum software version. These requirements vary by model and include several devices from the X Fold series, X300 series, vivo Pad 6 Pro, iQOO 15 series, iQOO Neo11 series, and iQOO Pad 6 Pro. Specific software version prerequisites have been detailed.

Participants are strongly advised to back up all data before installing the internal test version, although vivo states the update process will not delete user data. Enrollment is managed through the device's system settings, specifically within the "System Update" section, where users can opt into "Try new versions" and apply for the internal testing program.
