Vivo X Fold 6 Global Launch Features Dated Design
Vivo's X Fold 6 foldable smartphone, now released globally, features a size and aspect ratio that feel old-fashioned compared to current market trends.

Vivo's X Fold 6 foldable smartphone, initially launched in China in June, has now made its global debut. However, the device's size and aspect ratio are perceived as dated compared to current industry standards for foldables.
The X Fold 6 maintains a similar physical size to Vivo's previous foldable models. Its 6.51-inch cover display uses the standard 20:9 smartphone aspect ratio, opening up to an 8.02-inch inner panel that is nearly square. This design contrasts with the trend toward shorter, wider form factors adopted by competitors such as Apple and Samsung with their Z Fold 8 and iPhone Duo.
The crease on the internal display is noticeable, placing it behind some competitors. While the device boasts an IP59 rating, this specification does not significantly differentiate it from others in the market. The phone's overall performance and market competitiveness will be assessed further against other foldable devices.
The global release of the Vivo X Fold 6 enters a market where design innovation and technological advancements are key differentiators for success in the foldable smartphone segment.
