Vivo X500 Pro Max to Feature 200MP Zeiss APO Super Telephoto Lens
The Vivo X500 Pro Max smartphone will be equipped with a new 200-megapixel Zeiss APO super telephoto lens. The device utilizes the same 1/1.4-inch Samsung HP0 sensor found in the X300 Ultra model.
Chinese technology firm Vivo has announced its new X500 Pro Max smartphone, which will feature a 200-megapixel Zeiss APO super telephoto lens. The company confirmed the device will use the same 1/1.4-inch Samsung HP0 sensor as its previous X300 Ultra model.
According to product manager Han Boxiao, the new sensor supports hardware 4x zoom, enabling two stages of lossless zoom. This large 200-megapixel resolution is intended to maximize the telephoto capabilities.
Vivo has highlighted three key upgrades for the X500 Pro Max's camera system. These include an extended reach with a 400mm equivalent focal length, professional-grade CIPA 7.0 stabilization comparable to the main camera, and a Super Capture Engine for high-speed photography up to 30x zoom.
The device also sees significant improvements in video capabilities, with a new "cloud-platform-level" stabilization offering three degrees of movement compensation. This enhanced stabilization aims to provide smoother video recording, doubling the stabilization range compared to previous generations.
