vivo X500 Series Launches with New Camera Sensor and Stabilization
The new vivo X500 smartphone series has been unveiled, featuring a global first "Blueprint Light Guard 900" image sensor and CIPA 7.0 stabilization for enhanced photography capabilities.
Chinese technology company vivo has officially announced its new X500 series of smartphones, placing a significant emphasis on camera technology.
The series introduces the "Blueprint Light Guard 900" image sensor, claiming a global first for its capabilities in enhancing image quality, particularly dynamic range. The company also highlighted the inclusion of CIPA 7.0 image stabilization for both the main and telephoto cameras, a key feature for capturing clearer images of moving subjects or in low-light conditions.
The X500 Pro Max model features a 400mm periscope telephoto lens and utilizes "Blueprint" technology to achieve a dynamic range of up to 17 EV. Image processing for RAW data is managed through a combination of on-device computation and cloud-based AI models to maximize picture quality and speed.
In collaboration with MediaTek, the vivo X500 series also incorporates a "long-distance follow-up" feature designed to better track moving subjects. For video recording, the new devices support 4K 240fps slow-motion and 4K 120fps DCG HDR video, alongside an upgraded VCS 4.0 technology.
The vivo X500 series also offers new photography styles such as "Blueprint Vivid" and "Blueprint Original Color", as well as cinematic and a humanistic silver-tone style. Users will have the ability to customize color settings through an "artistic palette".
