Mumbai – Telecommunications company Vodafone Idea announced on Wednesday its first net subscriber additions since its merger. The total subscriber base increased to 193.1 million in the quarter ending June 2026, up from 192.8 million in the previous quarter.

The company's Average Revenue Per User (ARPU) rose 10.2% year-on-year to Rs 195. This growth indicates strategic focus and potential price adjustments in a competitive market.

Network expansion has been a key driver for the company's performance. Vodafone Idea extended its 5G services to over 200 cities and increased its 4G population coverage to 87%. Data usage also saw a significant increase of 27.9% year-on-year, with average data consumption per 4G/5G user reaching 21.7 GB.

Concurrently, the company reported a net loss of Rs 3,754 crore, a notable improvement from the Rs 6,608 crore net loss in the same period last year. Revenue from operations grew 6% year-on-year to Rs 11,689 crore.

Vodafone Idea also highlighted new partnerships and service offerings, including collaboration with Meta for silent mobile verification across WhatsApp, Facebook, and Instagram, and the launch of new plan options for enterprise and consumer customers.
