Voice AI Firm Smallest.ai Raises $13 Million Series A

Indian Voice AI startup Smallest.ai has raised $13 million (approximately ₹108 crore) in its Series A funding round, led by Seligman Ventures. The round also saw participation from existing backers Sierra Ventures and 3one4 Capital.

The startup intends to deploy the new capital to scale its voice AI platform for clients across the financial services, healthcare, contact centers, and business process outsourcing (BPO) sectors.

Alongside the funding, Smallest.ai announced the launch of ‘Voice 4.0,’ a tech framework powered by its proprietary Hydra architecture. The company claims that unlike traditional voice systems which process tasks sequentially, Hydra handles listening, reasoning, and speech generation in parallel.

With this latest investment, Smallest.ai has raised over $21 million to date. The company previously raised $8 million in a seed round led by Sierra Ventures in October 2025. Founded in 2023 by IIT Guwahati alumni Sudarshan Kamath and Akshat Mandloi, Smallest.ai states it has developed low-latency voice AI models designed to automate complex workflows, with clients including TrueCaller, Readymode, Premal, and Pocket.
