Volkswagen Anhui launches 09 electric model in China
Volkswagen Anhui has released its 09 electric sedan in China, featuring 5C fast-charging capabilities and a starting price of 169,900 yuan.
Volkswagen Anhui has officially launched its 09 electric sedan, a vehicle measuring 5,081 mm in length with a wheelbase of 3,030 mm. The model is available in three configurations, with an initial promotional price starting at 169,900 yuan, compared to a standard base retail price of 179,900 yuan.
The vehicle features an intelligent driving assistance system powered by a 750 TOPS AI processor and utilizes LiDAR sensors for navigation and parking maneuvers. Drivetrain options include a single-motor configuration producing 230 kW and a dual-motor all-wheel-drive version with a combined 370 kW output.
Technologically, the 09 is the first Volkswagen model to incorporate 5C supercharging, utilizing CATL’s Shenxing battery cells. The system supports charging power exceeding 520 kW, allowing for a claimed 250 kilometers of range from a five-minute charge. The vehicle offers a maximum CLTC-rated range of up to 755 kilometers.
