Volvo and Waabi Begin Autonomous Trucking Operations in Texas
Volvo and Waabi have commenced customer operations with autonomous trucking in Texas. Initial routes will serve the Dallas-Houston corridor.

Volvo Autonomous Solutions (V.A.S.) and Waabi have launched customer operations in Texas, marking the first commercial deployment of their integrated autonomous trucking solution.
The operation utilizes Volvo VNL Autonomous trucks powered by the Waabi Driver system. These vehicles are now transporting freight directly to third-party facilities along the Dallas-Houston corridor.
The initiative aims to enable Warp, an open-source freight network that handles both Less-Than-Truckload (LTL) and Full-Truckload (FTL) freight, to leverage autonomous capabilities. This integration seeks to optimize logistics chains.
This deployment represents a significant step in commercializing autonomous vehicle technology within the transportation industry. The partnership intends to demonstrate the potential of autonomy to reduce logistics costs and enhance supply chain efficiency in the US market.
