Volvo announces plan to launch 13 new models by 2030
Volvo is preparing to expand its vehicle lineup with 13 new models by the end of 2030, with three new vehicles scheduled to debut in 2027.
Volvo has revealed a strategy to release 13 new vehicle models by the end of 2030. The expansion focuses on key markets, including Europe, China, and the United States, with three new models set for introduction in 2027.
The initiative centers on the manufacturer's SPA3 platform, which is designed to support a range of vehicle sizes from compact SUVs to three-row models. A key upcoming release, built on the SPA3 architecture, is expected to replace the current EX40, targeting the European budget-conscious segment with a 2027 summer delivery target.
In addition to the electric lineup, which includes a planned crossover model under $50,000 expected to be named the EX50, Volvo is continuing to refine its hybrid offerings. The company aims to ramp up production of long-range plug-in hybrid versions of its XC60 and XC90 models, with European deliveries scheduled for 2026, followed by localized production of the XC60 in South Carolina in 2027.
