Volvo Cars announced Tuesday the integration of Apple Music into over two million of its vehicles, facilitated by a software update delivered wirelessly. The update brings the music streaming service directly into the car's infotainment system.

The newly launched Volvo EX60 model will also include Apple Music as a native feature upon its initial customer deliveries this summer. This expansion aims to enhance the in-car entertainment experience for a significant portion of Volvo's global vehicle fleet.

To encourage adoption, Volvo Cars is providing eligible new customers with up to three months of free Apple Music access. This offer is intended to allow drivers to explore the service and its features, including Spatial Audio for supported models like the EX60, EX90, and ES90.

The integration allows drivers to access their Apple Music accounts and libraries directly from the car's dashboard, without needing to connect a smartphone. This move appears to be part of a broader trend among automakers to embed third-party streaming services directly into vehicle systems for greater convenience.
