Volvo Cars recorded 141,656 units in global sales from August to October 2026, a 16 percent decline compared to the same period in 2025. The results highlight ongoing challenges for the automaker as it navigates shifting global consumer demand.

Electrified vehicles accounted for 55 percent of total sales, with fully electric models contributing 34 percent and plug-in hybrids making up 20 percent. While sales of pure electric vehicles rose 27 percent, the overall portfolio performance was dragged down by broader market stagnation.

The company attributed the decline in China to intensifying competition from domestic manufacturers and a weakened macroeconomic environment. In the U.S., Volvo cited record-low consumer confidence and the removal of purchase incentives for electric and plug-in hybrid models as primary obstacles to growth.

This performance continues a difficult trend for the company, following earlier reports of significant delivery drops in the Greater China region and global workforce reductions.
