Volvo Cars has released a software update for its EX30 electric vehicle, enabling the car's battery to supply power to external devices. This feature transforms the EX30 into a mobile power source when parked.

The capability allows users to power appliances such as coffee machines or tools for DIY projects directly from the vehicle. The system can also be used for camping or other outdoor activities.

In addition to the power bank functionality, the software update also integrates Plug & Charge. This feature simplifies and speeds up charging at public stations by automatically authenticating the car when the charging cable is connected.

Volvo Cars is enhancing its electric vehicle offerings with software updates that add practical functionalities, aiming to increase the versatility and user convenience of its models like the EX30.
