Volvo Trucks Receives Record Order for Gas-Powered Trucks
German transport company Reinert Logistics has placed its largest ever order for gas-powered trucks, purchasing 500 Volvo FH Aero models. Deliveries are set to begin in 2027.
Gothenburg, Sweden – Volvo Trucks has secured its largest order to date for gas-powered trucks, with German logistics firm Reinert Logistics ordering 500 Volvo FH Aero units. This significant order highlights the growing adoption of alternative fuels in the heavy transport sector.
The substantial order follows a positive operational experience Reinert Logistics had with an initial fleet of 50 Volvo gas-powered trucks. The company cited favorable fuel prices and reliable performance in daily use as key factors influencing their decision.
René Reinert, Founder and Owner of Reinert Logistics, stated that bio-LNG is the right solution for the company, particularly due to the use of locally produced fuel. He also emphasized the benefits of Volvo Trucks' service network for gas-powered vehicles.
Volvo Trucks has delivered over 10,000 gas-powered trucks globally. The trucks are available in the FM, FH, and FH Aero ranges and can run on liquefied natural gas (LNG) or bio-LNG, offering a range of up to 1,000 kilometers on a single tank.
